I am the Diva Weekly Challenge #206

Hi there!

This week's "I am the Diva Weekly Challenge" is to try using tools you've never used before to tangle. This challenge was right on time because I just watched this video Sunday night.

So in the end, I decided to use one of the Sakura Koi pens I won from the Sakura of America's #handwritesakura Instagram contest, a Sakura Pigma Brush and Strathmore Watercolor Paper (I cut out 3.5" tiles using my Silhouette Cameo). All of which I have never used before. I am VERY pleased with how it turned out *^_^*.

Now I'm going to have to buy the whole koi brush set. Sakura's evil plan worked!  >_<

Tangle patterns: (l-r) Bunzo, Narwal and Sandswirl

Just in case you're curious about what I won from Sakura, and what I submitted, here it is:

Welp! Thanks for stopping by! ^_^v

I am the Diva Weekly Challenge #204: "Valentangle"

Hi all!

This week's challenge was a little rough for me. I feel so scatter-brained right now, and it shows. I kept going in one direction and then decided I didn't like it, so I blacked it out and went in another direction. Hence, "The Dark Valentangle" lol Anywho! Have a great weekend!

Tangle Patterns: Kiss, Heart String and Diva Dance

And Happy Valentine's Day! ♥

Zenuari Day 11: "Zendala Sunday"

Since I started tangling I have really enjoyed participating in Zentangle challenges. In such a short time I have seen so many inspiring pieces of work, and have learned quite a few techniques. Currently, for the entire month of January, I am participating in a challenge called "Zenuari" by Anoeska. There is a different theme driven tangle each day. And this past Monday I drew my first mandala.

I'm so excited with how it turned out. But because I'm so nitpick-y, I decided to recreate it; this time making sure it was centered. I also took progress shot. Fancy me (eyebrow wiggle).

Started with Paradox

Added Flux

Then a random leaf pattern :o)

Then I added Orbs-La-Dee

DL Sunray

And finally something like Vortex

Done with pen, now on the pencil and tortillion

And here's the finished piece! *^_^*

Well, if you've manage to make it this far, I'd like to thank you for indulging me. This was a really fun experience, and I just wanted to share it.

Have a great weekend!
